Got to love writing that’s vivid that you feel the cushion and the breeze :)

The waitress remembering you is a small human tether people underestimate. And I’m all for “bubbles of joy are as fragile as hummingbirds.”

I so identify with cleaning house at midnight. I did it often in previous years. Love the idea of choosing a reset.

We don’t have room to move things around, lol, so we get the same satisfaction purging belongings and organizing. 🥰

I’ve noticed the same thing.

The change of scenery alone can reset your brain.

Even a small change -a new coffee spot, a haircut :) - well, the haircut was a big one.

By 1 p.m., a walk makes a huge difference in how I think and feel.

Joy doesn't need to be complicated.

Happy Thursday, Leo.

Hmmm..my bubble of joy?

I don't think I have much lately that is not routine, but we do have a momma cow to give birth any time now. She's usually pretty hesitant on being petted and touched but today she let me pet her. I think that might be the sign she's close.

It's muddy and awful out, with some leftover snow so not the best baby time. But, I'm ready to see that little face, mud and all :)

That sounds like a lot, but that little face will be worth it!

Oh I love this! It helps explain the joy I’ve been getting out of concerts and Torrent hockey games - after years of dealing with dying friends & relatives it’s just me & my daughter at home, possibly for only another 18 months, so I’ve been splurging like crazy on concert tickets & season tickets for the games. I’ve never been into sports, and am anxious in crowds, but both definitely take me out of my routine and have been seriously rejuvenating. This is a really helpful framing.
